2012 MAYFIELD LAKE BASE CAMP EXPERIENCE
The Mayfield Base Camp Experience provides an opportunity for enjoying a remote and pristine lake and river valley ecosystem, at a pace dictated by your desires. You will enjoy canoeing, fishing, hiking, dayrides into the alpine or along the Gataga River, and at the end of the day, a steaming soak in a log sauna, perhaps followed by a plunge off the dock into the pleasant waters of Mayfield Lake. The Muskwa-Kechika Expedition is hosted by Wayne Sawchuk, a photographer and conservationist who has been guiding horseback expeditions into the Muskwa-Kechika since 1985. Through his work with industry, wilderness organizations, and public planning processes, Wayne has been instrumental in creating a wilderness management area that serves as a model for protecting wild places worldwide.
*Cost for parties of 7 or more: C$2000 plus 12% HST per person
*Cost for parties of 6 or less: C$2450 plus 12% HST per person
Food, flights, and tents, bedding, etc. are included.
